what is an RMT?

To use a definition and then an analogy, like all other healthcare practitioners, RMTs study at colleges approved by a governing body.  Upon completion of the program, a therapist must pass an exam given by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO)  before receiving a license.

All healthcare practitioners, including RMTs, are like flowers that have the same stem and leaves yet our petals are all of different colours, depending on what we have chosen to study after college.

massage

Massage and hydrotherapy were promoted by Hippocrates.  It was thought to prepare the body pre and post surgeries, pre/post fatalities, it was found to prepare athletes, warriors, stoneworkers, and politicians before and after stressful events. It was used by many ancient civilizations and has become recognized as a formal, scientifically proven healthcare practice used by RMT’s.

aromatherapy

Sunlight ruins its effectiveness.  Some can burn with sunlight.
